Please write your answers carefully to have them marked correct. The answer should be written on your work paper first. Then type the answer in. Check before submitting.

Fractions should be written like this: 1/2 for one half. Exponents should be written like this: x^2 for x squared. Make it a practice to use lowercase variables and to put a space on each side of an operator (+, -).

It will accept some variations on the answer, but try to stick to the format closely to not inadvertently get your answer marked incorrect.

Some questions have multiple parts, but you will just see and complete one part at a time. There is a note on those just so that you can recognize that you can refer to your work on the first part to answer the second part.

Example answer: -1/4x^2 - 3x + 5 This is negative one fourth x squared minus three x plus five. Spaces and capitalization do not matter. You can write large numbers with or without a comma.
